Rules & Criteria

Participant Guidelines

Everything you need to know to successfully register and compete in HackDiwas 3.0.

Registration & Eligibility

  • Participants must be currently enrolled college students.
  • Register directly via the portal after submitting the fee.
  • Accommodation/travel expenses are not covered by United University for outstation teams.

Team Formation

  • Teams must consist of 1 to 4 members (including the leader).
  • Members from different departments are highly encouraged to team up.
  • Software Edition: Bulk of the team must possess strong programming skills.
  • Hardware Edition: Diverse skillsets (Mechanical, Electrical, Design, Programming) are advocated.

Idea Selection & Evaluation

  • Ideas are evaluated by experts post-submission.
  • Criteria: Novelty, complexity, clarity, feasibility, practicability, sustainability, scale of impact, and user experience.
  • Shortlisted teams will be notified on our portal and via email by April 19, 2026.

Mode of Hackathon

  • HackDiwas 3.0 is purely an offline event.
  • All teams must be physically present at the United University center.
  • Event dates: April 23rd & 24th, 2026.

Idea Presentation Format

Your idea submission must follow this exact PPT template structure. Max 6 slides allowed.

Slide 01

Title Page

Include Problem Statement ID, Problem Title, Theme, Category (Software/Hardware), Team ID, and registered Team Name.

Slide 02

Proposed Solution

Provide a detailed explanation of your idea/prototype. Explain exactly how it addresses the problem, highlighting its uniqueness and innovation.

Slide 03

Technical Approach

List technologies used (languages, frameworks, hardware). Show methodology and process (use flow charts, images, or prototype diagrams).

Slide 04

Feasibility & Viability

Analyze the feasibility of your idea. Detail potential challenges or risks, and outline your strategies for overcoming them.

Impact & Benefits

Define the potential impact on your target audience. List the social, economic, or environmental benefits of your solution.

The fee is ₹349 per team. This covers two full days of hacking, meals, refreshments, participation certificate, and all sessions.
Each team must have 1 to 4 members. Inter-branch and inter-year teams are welcome.
All enrolled UG and PG college students from any recognized university or college.
Accommodation and travel expenses are not covered by United University for outstation teams. Plan your travel accordingly.
